The Safety P.I.N edition is a socially engaged art piece, designed to engage with the viewer in an intimate, discrete, and thought provoking way. Each was hand-printed, scored, folded, and glued by the artist in the lithography studio at Arizona State University, in Tempe, AZ. This edition of photo lithographs combines the revealing wonder of paper engineering with the tactile interaction of book arts.

When closed, the print's cover displays a regular image of a safety pin. Once opened however, the P.I.N logo design is revealed showing a human form reaching out to close the safety pin—a portrayal of making one's self or others safe again. On the inside, a three bar column graph reveals the current statistics of age and gender groups who have been raped. However these results are inconclusive, since it is the most under-reported crime in the United States.

The P.I.N edition's inconspicuous design and discrete size allows the viewer to easily hide it in one's wallet or pocket. It can also be shared with the QR bar code that takes you straight to the P.I.N resource website.
